There are two common types of welding, TIG and MIG welding. With MIG welding, a continuously feeding wire is used, with the other technique utilising welding rods that slowly turn into a weld puddle. Both methods use an electric arc to create the weld.
The majority of our work is MIG welding. It is a straightforward process to learn, while it is easy to handle requests of various scopes and sizes, which is a crucial part of how we want to run North Coast Steel. A MIG welder takes a continuously feeding spool of welding wire, burns, melts and fuses the various metals and achieves a quality result.
We can MIG weld steel, while we can also combine it with other materials such as mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium. The thickness of the materials and result will depend on the specific requests.
